My favorite season is officially in full swing and I just cannot get enough pumpkin spice in my life!
October is always so much fun for me mostly due to my obsession with Halloween and its my birthday month! Therefore, I aim to pack as many fall activities as I possibly can into these next four weeks.
Now that I am a mama, I’m able to finally share my love of this fall season with Kai. Yes he is way too young to carve his own pumpkin, but no one is stopping this kiddo from feeding every fuzzy goat or trying out every pumpkin donut in the NJ area. OK, maybe that last part is all about me, but our photo opts have been on point due to these adorable family pumpkin farms and festivals.
If you’re in the NJ area, this post is for you!
I’ve rounded up my favorite weekend fall outings all packed with adorable autumn activities like hayrides, petting zoos, corn mazes, pumpkin picking, live music and fresh farm stores!
Chester, NJ
Loves: The sweetest petting zoo with friendly farm animals and a goat catwalk, the giant hay pyramid for climbing, live entertainment, homemade pumpkin ice cream and donuts, pick your own fruits and vegetables
Dislikes: Gets so packed with long lines. Get there early and beat the crowds.
Montville, NJ
Loves: The adorable kiddie bucket tractor ride, the haunted and regular hayrides, farm store with fresh apple cider and baked goods, great selection of pumpkins, budget friendly.
Dislikes: Small petting zoo with only a few animals, long line for fresh mini cider donuts (but so worth the wait).
Chester, NJ
Loves: The best apple picking, and a real deal pick your own pumpkin. Most are still on the vine! Hayrides through the orchards are free.
Dislikes: Not as big of an attraction as the rest and lack of Halloween decorations.
Hillsdale, NJ
Loves: Pumpkin picking movie night (seriously!? How cute), petting zoo with an alpaca, great farm store.
Dislikes: Very crowded on the weekends, parking is very far from farm, $7 hayride
Vernon, NJ
Loves: the largest pumpkin festival in NJ, visiting the farm friends, huge hay maze, carnival rides, pony rides, live entertainment, farm store, the Halloween décor throughout.
Dislikes: the crowds are insane, $15 admission charge for everyone, separate pricing for all rides and activities.

Happy Fall Y’all
